ISB Language Annex offers proficiency-based language classes in French and Spanish for adults. An extension of our leading-edge language programs, these afternoon classes are immersive, interactive, and conversation-based. ISB Language Annex is a space for you to build fluency, expand your vocabulary, and feel more at ease speaking in a supportive environment.
ISB Language Annex is open to all adults in the community. You don’t need to be an ISB parent or have a connection to the school to participate.
Since its founding, International School of Brooklyn has taken a communicative approach to language learning. Our adult studio classes are inspired by the same impulse toward connection, international-mindedness, and a more holistic perspective on the world around us and our relationship to it.
If you ever wanted to connect more profoundly with your neighbors and other community members by speaking with them in their native tongue or deepen your experiences abroad by communicating in the local language, ISB Language Annex is for you! For ISB parents, these classes are also a way to share in your children’s journey with French or Spanish at home.
Register NowOur classes bring together learners at neighboring proficiency levels for an immersive language experience designed to provide a variety of listening and speaking opportunities for each individual student. There are a maximum of eight students in each class to create an engaging space for conversation that meets each student where they are in their learning. Classes are led entirely in French and Spanish.
