On Saturday, October 8th, 2016, ISB families gathered on 4th Place for a favorite ISB autumn tradition: Fall Festival! In the past, Fall Festival has always been a celebration amongst ISB families and staff, but this year, the PA Chairs decided to partner with the well-known Mazzone Hardware store to combine forces with their annual PumpkinFest! The result was an even bigger and better celebration with our local Carroll Gardens community!
This year’s festival offered many fun activities such as pumpkin painting and carving, pony rides, face painting, and a raffle that kept everyone in suspense. Both kids and adults very much enjoyed the selection of delicious food provided by local restaurants.
ISB was strong in numbers at the event; it was great to see so many ISB families hanging around throughout the day! Many thanks to all of the parents and Middle School students who helped to run the ISB table, the bake sale, and the bone marrow donor table with a smile and great enthusiasm! Another big thank you to the ISB Community for helping to raise proceeds for Children’s Miracle Network, the charity that the Mazzone PumpkinFest sponsors every year. The ISB community raised over $1,500 for Children’s Miracle Network during this year’s Fall Festival!
We are looking forward to next year’s Fall Festival and are already thinking about new activities. As usual, your suggestions are always welcome! Please reach out to one of the PA Chairs or send us an email at PAchairs@isbrooklyn.org.
